Tidewardens
Tidewardens scratches a very specific itch: slow, thoughtful strategy you can play in short bursts. You manage a string of island settlements, timing your fishing fleets and construction around tide cycles that shift resources around the map. It sounds fiddly, but the pacing is relaxed enough that you're never panicking.
What makes it click is the trade network. Routing goods between islands and reacting to seasonal demand turns into a genuinely satisfying optimization puzzle. The raider events add just enough pressure to keep you from coasting, and defending your harbors feels earned rather than punishing.
It's not flashy, and the UI could be cleaner, but the core systems are solid. If you like builders that make you think a few turns ahead, this one's a keeper.
